Team Voranc

Since holidays are here, we have a lot of time to write posts about previous events in December. This one is the last one from year 2017. We'd like to thank everyone and wish you again all a peaceful holidays.  Last week in Thursday we had New Year's performance in our gym for our parents. All Voranc teams performed and there were 10 great performances. We're satisfied with them, but we have to work a lot after holidays, because almost nothing hasn't been polished yet. We're so proud that we managed to get two clean routines out of three, even though the third one was a slight disaster.  We had our younger girls performing with their lovely routine, then two performances by girls. Our mixed team with pre-juniors and juniors performed their hoop routine, which was finished only few weeks before the show. Yayy, after a loong and amazing year it's finally Christmas time!! We've already gone on our long-waited holidays and we wish you all a peacful holidays and MERRY CHRISTMAS !   May the miracle of Christmas fill your heart with joy. This year was great to us. It felt amazing to step out of the shadows after few years. To those wondering, what happened - after our gold medal at Nationals in 2014, we went only down. We changed the apparatus and our routines were never or very seldom clean. The next two years we had been going through lots of changes. Our team moved from junior to senior category in agg, but we still reached silver medal at the 2016 Nationals which felt amazing. About two weeks ago we were having a photoshooting in our gym with photographers Mirjam Čančer and Andrej Lamut. Thanks a lot to our coaches for organizing this stuff. We had so much fun and enjoyed our first r eal photoshooting. We spend even more hours in a gym than usual, but it was worth it. Thank you for amazing pictures!

On Saturday, December 2nd we went to the International New Year's cup in Gimnastični center Ljubljana . This was our third year in a row there (but as audience). We enjoyed the competition, especially groups. We really appreciate all the competitions from international level that are hold in Slovenia, because we have a chance to see the other countries on the carpet without going far away from home . Like every year, we are having a New Year's performance at the end of the year. We're looking forward to show you all what we've been preparing for this season. See you!

Last month we received an invitation to perform as special guests at the opening of the final of National Climbing Championships. Of course, we agreed to go, because we took it as a great chance to practice in front of the audience. So ''Climbing days of Kranj'' or in Slovenian Plezalni dnevi Kranja (PDK) were held this weekend in Kranj, located 30 minutes away from our capital Ljubljana. We first wanted to perform with AGG routine but it's not yet completely finished and ready for the show, so we chose Ball group routine and pair Saura with Balls. Unfortunately, we had to change the group exercise to a smaller number of people due to illness, but everything went really well. We left Ljubljana at 4 o'clock with two cars. We are happy that one of us has already gotten a driver's license, so we can drive together to performances and competitions. As every year, we post a blog about our team in the upcoming season. This year our team is really big and has grown since last year. Now everyone stepped into the senior category, so we have full senior team! Here it is, the 2018 composition! Yeah, that's right! We cleaned our carpets! Finally the day has come. We had sadly cleaned them only once a year before, but now we'll take care of cleaning more often. We don't have much to tell about it, just that we all took 2 hours of our life after we finished training and spent them for vacuum cleaning. Luckily, there was 7 of us, so everything went faster. We're so happy for doing some good work and looking forward to train in a better environment (cleaned carpets)😄  

October is almost over and we haven't post a single update yet! :o This can only tell you, that we've been so busy lately, but now we have a little break from trainings because of the holidays.  First of all, what was even the last post about? Oh right, about the new season. So to refresh everything in our heads... This year we will compete with three routines in two different levels - A1 (or B) and C programme and in two different sports - rhythmic and aesthetic group gymnastics. We have set ourselves high goals for this year, so we hope we're going to make it through and achieve them.  Aesthetic Group Gymnastics Honestly, this becoming a really big project this year :D We've thought we won't have to change a lot, but we are working all the time on it and changing things and formations. Again we've changed the number of positions to final 8, but we have 9 gymnasts. So how did we manage that? Two people are practicing the same position, so it kinda work
