Nationals A1 program 2016

Today we competed at the 2016 National Championships in A1 program. First of all, we're all really happy, that we made it that far and finished this competition season. We made two new routines and stepped into a new program. Girls and coaches are satisfied with today's performances.

For this special event we decided to have a special and different hairstyles, not because we don't like normal buns of course, but because we wanted to try something new and we're pleased with how these dutch braids braided into a bun turned out.

The competition started at 10 am, but we came 2 hours early and prepared ourselves. Our category juniors/seniors started at 11:15 and first we watched our coaches, who competed with balls and finished on 3rd place. 

In our category competed 6 groups with free routines. We competed as a fourth team and the routine looked great, girls were so happy and we really enjoyed it! We ended on 5th place, which is very great. KŠRG Šiška won gold medal, DŠRG Branik Maribor finished after them and Sansa ŠZ Bor ended on third place. Another team from our club placed behind us :) Sara and Laura competed an hour later with hoops, but made few drops and finished 7th.

31st International Tournament Ljubljana

This weekend Slovenian club for rhythmic gymnastics KRG Narodni dom held the traditional International Tournament ''MTM'' in Ljubljana's Gymnastics center. This year was already the 31st edition of it. Our girls have been attended it for the fourth consecutive year now and it was amazing, as always. Sara and Maja with Polina Shmatko, Lala Kramarenko and Sofia Nikeeva from Russia Since the amazing edition in 2016, when all biggest stars came to compete, we've all been expecting even more amazing gymnasts from all around the world. This year, one of the top gymnasts came to Ljubljana, such as Julia Evchik (Belarus), Alexandra Agiurgiuculese (Italy), Nicol Zelikman (Israel) and Polina Shmatko (Russia) - medalists from the 2016 Junior European Championships in Holon, Natela Bolataeva (Georgia) , Anna Sokolova (Russia), Lala Kramarenko (Russia) and others. Among them, of course, were also excellent Slovenian hopes - Aleksandra Podgoršek, Aja Jerman Buka...

Preparations

Voranc Senior group with Kersnik Junior and Senior group Last weekend, 29.-31.1. were held peraparations for our and another club's team. We spend most of the time in out usual gym and prepare our routines for the new season. It was a lot of fun, we learned many new things and correct some elements in routines, so now we're almost fully prepared for the upcoming competition season. It starts in March, so this mean we have another month till we step on the competition carpet and show the new routines to the audience.  First day was a little harder than we thought it would be. We started at 4 pm and ended at 6 pm, which means only two hours of training, but it was just a beginning. We get through routines with our main coaches and work on details, change some elements. The last 30 minutes we were practicing elements and risks with balls. Then we did some work on our muscles and our usual strenght test - doing squats on  Mobby - Flower .  Voranc and Kersnik team...

AGG World Cup Graz 2018

Our seniors Nina and Maja took part in Aesthetic Group Gymnastics World Cup II as volunteers for a second year in a row. Last year, Padua was great, but this time it was even better. The second stage of World Cup took part in Graz, Austria from the 13th to 15th of April. Volunteering must be our favourite hobby, since we are doing it every month :P It was a great honor to be part of such a big event and as always, we enjoyed every single part of it. We can no longer count how many events we have already attended as volunteers, although not always in large numbers. Congratulations, of course, to the organizers, that they took us in so nicely and offered us a place of volunteers.    Pictures with our favourites!
