Meet the members of AGG Team

As you probably already know, seven girls are part of AGG National team, which is preparing to participate at the 2019 World Championships in Aesthetic group gymnastics. We decided to give you a chance to get to know them. Enjoy!

Favourite part of training: core stability exercises, tabatas
What she really likes: movies, especially Marvel
Other: very strong, pesimistic, but motivates the team, perfectionist, very stubborn

MAJA

City: Ljubljana
Year of birth: 2001
Started gymnastics: 2007
Most memorable result: 3rd place with free routine at the 2018 RG Nationals
Favourite part of training: core stability exercises, strength exercises
What she really likes: watching RG and AGG, video editing
Other: a lot of energy, always lightens up our mood, organized, motivated, stubborn

MAŠA

City: Lukovica

Favourite part of training: core stability exercises, practicing body difficulties
What she really likes: acting
Other: very optimistic, joyful, perfectionist when needed, finds a good thing in everything

What she really likes: TV series, organizing and analyzing things

What she really likes: listening to BTS
Other: very flexible, very determined, likes to joke, hardworking

ZALA

City: Ljubljana

Started gymnastics: 2008
Most memorable result: 3rd place at the 2018 Dream TiM Cup
Favourite part of training: conditioning, strength exercises
What she really likes: Eminem, books
Other: open-minded, very positive, lives in a moment, very strong and creative

31st International Tournament Ljubljana

This weekend Slovenian club for rhythmic gymnastics KRG Narodni dom held the traditional International Tournament ''MTM'' in Ljubljana's Gymnastics center. This year was already the 31st edition of it. Our girls have been attended it for the fourth consecutive year now and it was amazing, as always. Sara and Maja with Polina Shmatko, Lala Kramarenko and Sofia Nikeeva from Russia Since the amazing edition in 2016, when all biggest stars came to compete, we've all been expecting even more amazing gymnasts from all around the world. This year, one of the top gymnasts came to Ljubljana, such as Julia Evchik (Belarus), Alexandra Agiurgiuculese (Italy), Nicol Zelikman (Israel) and Polina Shmatko (Russia) - medalists from the 2016 Junior European Championships in Holon, Natela Bolataeva (Georgia) , Anna Sokolova (Russia), Lala Kramarenko (Russia) and others. Among them, of course, were also excellent Slovenian hopes - Aleksandra Podgoršek, Aja Jerman Buka...

Preparations

Voranc Senior group with Kersnik Junior and Senior group Last weekend, 29.-31.1. were held peraparations for our and another club's team. We spend most of the time in out usual gym and prepare our routines for the new season. It was a lot of fun, we learned many new things and correct some elements in routines, so now we're almost fully prepared for the upcoming competition season. It starts in March, so this mean we have another month till we step on the competition carpet and show the new routines to the audience.  First day was a little harder than we thought it would be. We started at 4 pm and ended at 6 pm, which means only two hours of training, but it was just a beginning. We get through routines with our main coaches and work on details, change some elements. The last 30 minutes we were practicing elements and risks with balls. Then we did some work on our muscles and our usual strenght test - doing squats on  Mobby - Flower .  Voranc and Kersnik team...

AGG World Cup Graz 2018

Our seniors Nina and Maja took part in Aesthetic Group Gymnastics World Cup II as volunteers for a second year in a row. Last year, Padua was great, but this time it was even better. The second stage of World Cup took part in Graz, Austria from the 13th to 15th of April. Volunteering must be our favourite hobby, since we are doing it every month :P It was a great honor to be part of such a big event and as always, we enjoyed every single part of it. We can no longer count how many events we have already attended as volunteers, although not always in large numbers. Congratulations, of course, to the organizers, that they took us in so nicely and offered us a place of volunteers.    Pictures with our favourites!
