Dream TiM Cup 2018
March brought us a lot of new experiences. One of these happened last weekend.
A few months ago, we were thinking: Why not try something new and take part in an international competition? And by chance we encountered the first version of international tournament Dream TiM Cup, which took place in Ljubljana from 16-18 March. We were so happy that we actually found a competition that has a senior category of groups in B program. That's why we applied for it.
We came to the hall late in the morning, at 10 o'clock. We immediately fell in love with the hall, which was beautifully prepared and gave us a good first impression. While we were doing our hairstyles and makeup, we enjoyed the performances of girls and pre-juniors in individual exercises.
Then we went to the training area and did our usual training, including warm-up, stretching and practicing our balances. When we felt that we are well prepared, we first take a close look of the carpet because it was a break in between 10 minutes. We trained relaxed and, in particular, tried to enjoy our new experience and get out of it as much as possible.
We were set to compete at 13:28, but the schedule was faster than expected, which was very pleasing to us. We do not even remember how much time has passed and we were already on the carpet.
We performed the routine much better than last two weekends. The number of falls dropped to three - two large and one small, which was amazing. We still have not been able to reach our goal, but we still have two months left by the end of the season, so there is plenty of room for corrections.
After our performance, we entertained in the training area and watched the training of competitors from other countries. We were watching Senior and Junior Finals, which were amazing too. Time passed so fast that it was not difficult for us to wait 4 hours until the awarding ceremony.
We weren't expecting such high score from judges and the placement that we got because it was still our first time on international level. It surprised us, but at the same time we were very happy that we managed to get on the podium. Our final score was 4,800 (D: 2,800 E: 2,000). In the end we placed 3rd with only 0,1 behind 2nd place, which is a great motivation for us.
In the end, we had a chance to meet and take pictures with some of the most famous rhythmic gymnasts. It was such an amazing experience that we definitely won't forget.
We think that this competition was the best of all and hope that we will soon again have a chance to compete on the international level.
