Team Voranc

One month of trainings is already behind us and it's been a great month of preparing new routines, gaining strength, power and learning new elements. We're looking forward to the new competition season, because we'll have one new routine and two routines will be changed, so there's a lot of things to do. The programme for free routine (A1 program) was made and is being prepared now. Our leotards are in the making and everything is going well. We haven't yet touched our ball routine, but we're going to step to the A1 program for a real this year, so we'll have to change probably half of the routine because of different rules. Voranc Team has changed from last year, of course. Not only in routines, but in groups too. Junior team has changed completely, because there was only one girl left from last year, but 5 new girls joined the team. None of seniors quit, but we moved some girls to the other routines and changed some positions. We also have two new members ...

This was a third year in a row of us participating at autumn's sport's festival Razgibajmo Ljubljano . Last year only two of us performed, so this year we decided to all take part in it.  So, last Saturday, the 9th of September was the time for performing. The festival was active through the whole week already and in Saturday, different sport's clubs had a chance to present their sports in the best way to the audience.  We arrived at around 10 am at Congress Square in the centre of Ljubljana and first met our dressmaker to discuss about our leotards for this season by the way. Then we did a warm up and stretching to be really prepared for the performance. Because we weren't active much during the Summer break, we decided to perform with group routine without apparatus (free routine) Golden Boy for the really last time. Day 3 The start of the day was a little different. The phone wasn't buzzing at 5:30 in the morning, as it should, because we forgot to set an alarm clock (actually it was set for pm, instead of am xD). We woke up at around 8 o'clock and quickly got ready for departure. Shortly after we arrived to Training Center we apologized for delay and started to work.  It was the first competition day, including qualifications for hoop&ball in individual and 10 clubs in group competition. To be honest, we were really nervous, because we weren't able to watch the competition in the Arena, because we had work in the Center. They needed help in the VIP entrance of the Arena, so Nina went there for an hour, while Zala and Maja were in the Center.    We were planning on watching and cheering for Slovenia at around 12 am, so we helped Nina to get out of her place and literally sneaked out of our work. The Arena was amazing and we had a free entrance to every place there....

From the 19th to 21st May was held the European Championship in rhythmic gymnastics. Three of our girls - Nina, Zala and Maja travelled all the way to Budapest, Hungary, to be a part of this spectacle. As soon as it was possible, they applied for volunteering and were right after that accepted. They were really looking forward to it, because they had never been to such big event before. Our journey started on Wednesday, the 17th May, when we boarded the train in Ljubljana at 9 am . 6-hour long drive to Budapest lasted forever, but we weren't very bored. At 5:30 in the afternoon we arrived at the railway station Budapest-Deli. After we found our transport to the hostel, we were sent to our apartment from there. Then we took a subway to the volunteer center of the competition, where we were given t-shirts and information for the next few days. Most of the volunteers were from Budapest, only a few of us were from abroad, but really a small number. We had some problems, because...

Last weekend was held the second Championship competition in A1 program, organized by Gimnastično društvo Vrhnika.We were super excited of our performances, because last results were very surprising and we were hoping for something like this or even better this time. We arrived early because of our usual hair and make-up routine. After we got ready, we went out to the schoolyard and relaxed for a bit. The competition for our category started at 3 pm. First seniors competed with their free routine Golden boy and made a really good job. They placed 5th out of 12 teams with the score of 9,200 (D: 4,050 E:5,150). We were all really excited about it, because the score was much higher than previously and the routine was more clean, but still had some small mistakes we'll try to fix until the next competition.  Click here for the video! Today we competed at the long-waited 2017 National Championship in C program of rhythmic and aesthetic group gymnastics. Unfortunately , we had witnessed one of the girls small injury at training on Thursday, but still managed to make good routines. In the end, we weren't really satisfied with our agg performance, because we improved a lot in a previous month, but it probably wasn't our best day.  First we need to thank our coaches for a wonderful choreographies this year (and of course previous too) and for everything they do for us. Also welcome our new coach assistant Diana, who is with us on trainings for only two months now and is already a big part of Voranc family and congratulations to our coach Aina for her first year of judging, we're so proud of you. Okay so after a while, we have decided to post one more thing that happened in April. It was now the 3rd time in a row that Team Voranc went to MTM (International Tournament Ljubljana). This year only three girls (Mia, Neža and Maja) decided to go and it was great.  The tournament started in Saturday, but girls volunteered there only in Sunday. Mia was a hostess and the other two measured the length of routines. An event was again very well organized, the atmosphere was amazing and the competitors were performing wonderful routines.
