Bor's Christmas Academy

Girls from AGG National team were invited as special guest to perform on the 23rd of December at Christmas show of ŠZ Bor called Borova božična akademija or Bor's Christmas Academy in Trieste, Italy. It's a special event because all their gymnasts show their routines (they will compete with in 2019) for the first time in public. We were honoured and excited to be there. Thank you for the invitation!


We started our journey at 6:00 in the morning at Railway Station in Ljubljana from where we took two-hour long train to Trieste. We were mostly trying to fall asleep in that time, so there's not much to talk about :D After we arrived to Trieste, we went to the city centre and had a small tour around the streets. Then we were basically trying to waste our time, because the show started at 16:00 and we still had plenty of time. 

After great Italian lunch, we took a bus to the gym called Stadion Prvi maj. We were warmly welcomed at our arrival and immediately started to prepare our hairstyle and make-up.


The show started, as already said, at 4 pm and we were first performers. A part of our routine was recorded for Slovenian report on Italian TV Rai3. The routine was good, but we were defenitely under pressure because this was only our 5th performance with new routine (and new composition) and there was also a lot of people watching us :D Overall we are greatful for this experience and we can't wait to see what 2019 will bring!

31st International Tournament Ljubljana

This weekend Slovenian club for rhythmic gymnastics KRG Narodni dom held the traditional International Tournament ''MTM'' in Ljubljana's Gymnastics center. This year was already the 31st edition of it. Our girls have been attended it for the fourth consecutive year now and it was amazing, as always. Sara and Maja with Polina Shmatko, Lala Kramarenko and Sofia Nikeeva from Russia Since the amazing edition in 2016, when all biggest stars came to compete, we've all been expecting even more amazing gymnasts from all around the world. This year, one of the top gymnasts came to Ljubljana, such as Julia Evchik (Belarus), Alexandra Agiurgiuculese (Italy), Nicol Zelikman (Israel) and Polina Shmatko (Russia) - medalists from the 2016 Junior European Championships in Holon, Natela Bolataeva (Georgia) , Anna Sokolova (Russia), Lala Kramarenko (Russia) and others. Among them, of course, were also excellent Slovenian hopes - Aleksandra Podgoršek, Aja Jerman Buka...

Preparations

Voranc Senior group with Kersnik Junior and Senior group Last weekend, 29.-31.1. were held peraparations for our and another club's team. We spend most of the time in out usual gym and prepare our routines for the new season. It was a lot of fun, we learned many new things and correct some elements in routines, so now we're almost fully prepared for the upcoming competition season. It starts in March, so this mean we have another month till we step on the competition carpet and show the new routines to the audience.  First day was a little harder than we thought it would be. We started at 4 pm and ended at 6 pm, which means only two hours of training, but it was just a beginning. We get through routines with our main coaches and work on details, change some elements. The last 30 minutes we were practicing elements and risks with balls. Then we did some work on our muscles and our usual strenght test - doing squats on  Mobby - Flower .  Voranc and Kersnik team...

AGG World Cup Graz 2018

Our seniors Nina and Maja took part in Aesthetic Group Gymnastics World Cup II as volunteers for a second year in a row. Last year, Padua was great, but this time it was even better. The second stage of World Cup took part in Graz, Austria from the 13th to 15th of April. Volunteering must be our favourite hobby, since we are doing it every month :P It was a great honor to be part of such a big event and as always, we enjoyed every single part of it. We can no longer count how many events we have already attended as volunteers, although not always in large numbers. Congratulations, of course, to the organizers, that they took us in so nicely and offered us a place of volunteers.    Pictures with our favourites!
