Performance at PDK
Last month we
received an invitation to perform as special guests at the opening of
the final of National Climbing Championships. Of course, we agreed to go, because we took it as a great chance to practice in front of the audience. So ''Climbing days of Kranj'' or in Slovenian Plezalni dnevi Kranja (PDK) were held this weekend in Kranj, located 30 minutes away from our capital Ljubljana. We first wanted to perform with AGG routine but it's not yet completely finished and ready for the show, so we chose Ball group routine and pair Saura with Balls. Unfortunately, we had to change the group exercise to a smaller number of people due to illness, but everything went really well.
We left Ljubljana at 4 o'clock with two cars. We are happy that one of us has already gotten a driver's license, so we can drive together to performances and competitions. We arrived to the gym around 5 o'clock and then finished our hairstyles and make-up. The organizers welcomed us very well and allowed us to practice on the stage once before the real performance. Since we sold our purple leotards, which we had used for Ball group routine previous years, we performed in Golden Boy leotards. It was also the first time performing with new Balls in black colour.
The opening of the Final started at 18:00. First, Sara and Laura performed with their pair and attracted attention with their music in Spanish rhythms and also a well-done routine. We really liked that only the stage was in lights and the audience was in the dark. It was a really good organization. After Saura, our seniors performed their Ball group routine. We're glad that we improved since last year so there were only few small drops, but we're continuing to reach the routine with zero drops.
It was a great experience and we're looking forward to next year! After performance we took a few group pictures and then watched the Final of National Climbing Championships. Thank you PDK for beautiful T-shirts, which will be a great memory!
