Winter Wonderland performance

Last week, we were very busy with preparations for a club's event Winter Wonderland, where we were presented with last year's renewed routine with balls. Only seniors team was performing, because they wanted to perform this routine once again in front of the audience before first competition. 

The event was organized under the auspices of our club - Športni klub Bleščica. And this was not the first time, the same performance was organized last year in June, but this year was moved into the winter time. It was intended for younger age groups, but to spice everything, organizers have invited seven competitive groups as special guests. 

The girls arrived in the hall around eight-thirty in the morning and first practiced their routine on the carpet, while there wasn't a lot of people yet. In the locker room they have settled the hairstyles and make-up. They decided for two dutch braids braided into a bun again, because they really liked it the last time at Nationals, so they'll probably have it this year again. Makeup was more in natural colors - smokey-eye was chosen for eyeshadow color, which ultimately well came to the fore. 

The performance began at 10 am with the opening, which lasted 10 minutes. Girls were 30 in a row of 37 performers, so soon after the opening they continued with preparing in the locker room.

After warm-up and stretching, we had a rehearsal around 11:15, which was a disaster, that's why we decided, we won't exercise anything until our performance. We enjoy the performances before us and laughed to relax before our routine. 

First part of the routine was great with no big executing errors, but we found out that we need to fix a few things, because we were at a different stage than in training and some formations weren't right. Second part continued smoothly, but we had a drop in a second group throw props. Everything went well until finish, one gymnast fall on the ground, because we had problems with carpet, but still finished routine successfully. We will laugh at these mistakes now for a long time xD

The event finished around 12 am. After everything ended, we talked to our coaches to exchange our opinions and got to talk to our main coach. We're glad we had a chance to perform this Saturday and it was a really great day after all!
