The first championship competition

It's a great and successful weekend behind us. After Saturday's control training in our usual gym, we were well prepared and ready to start our season. First competition was on Sunday, 6th of March in new Gymnastics center Ljubljana.

We came in the competition hall at half past twelve and first checked out the competition carpet. After walking around the gym and meeting our coaches, we headed to garderobe and started doing our make-up and hairstyles. We choose a dutch braid into a bun with golden-blue make-up. 

When all girls finished with their preparations, which was at 2 pm, we came back in the gymnastics hall and started with warm-up, splits and stretching. 



We practiced our routine twice and then do some elements individually, before the Senior competition programme started. Our coaches competed with their new routine with balls.

We competed at 16:43 and showed our new free routine 'Golden boy' for the first time at the competitions. All girls were little nervous, but the routine was well performed, without bigger mistakes and we were pleased with it.
After we finished, we had a break, because the medal ceremony was one hour later. Pair Sara and Laura competed the last at 17:43, one hour behind us. They were great and very happy, the routine was clean without drops and we cheered a lot.

Our senior group ended on 4th place with 7,083 score in Junior/senior group with apparatus programme. Junior group ended on 6th place with 9,367 score in Junior/senior group without apparatus programme. Sara and Laura finished 4th with 6,833 score in Junior pairs/triples with apparatus programme. We were pleased with performances, because it was our first time competing in A1 program. Can't wait for the next competition, to show all other routines! :D

31st International Tournament Ljubljana

This weekend Slovenian club for rhythmic gymnastics KRG Narodni dom held the traditional International Tournament ''MTM'' in Ljubljana's Gymnastics center. This year was already the 31st edition of it. Our girls have been attended it for the fourth consecutive year now and it was amazing, as always. Sara and Maja with Polina Shmatko, Lala Kramarenko and Sofia Nikeeva from Russia Since the amazing edition in 2016, when all biggest stars came to compete, we've all been expecting even more amazing gymnasts from all around the world. This year, one of the top gymnasts came to Ljubljana, such as Julia Evchik (Belarus), Alexandra Agiurgiuculese (Italy), Nicol Zelikman (Israel) and Polina Shmatko (Russia) - medalists from the 2016 Junior European Championships in Holon, Natela Bolataeva (Georgia) , Anna Sokolova (Russia), Lala Kramarenko (Russia) and others. Among them, of course, were also excellent Slovenian hopes - Aleksandra Podgoršek, Aja Jerman Buka...

Preparations

Voranc Senior group with Kersnik Junior and Senior group Last weekend, 29.-31.1. were held peraparations for our and another club's team. We spend most of the time in out usual gym and prepare our routines for the new season. It was a lot of fun, we learned many new things and correct some elements in routines, so now we're almost fully prepared for the upcoming competition season. It starts in March, so this mean we have another month till we step on the competition carpet and show the new routines to the audience.  First day was a little harder than we thought it would be. We started at 4 pm and ended at 6 pm, which means only two hours of training, but it was just a beginning. We get through routines with our main coaches and work on details, change some elements. The last 30 minutes we were practicing elements and risks with balls. Then we did some work on our muscles and our usual strenght test - doing squats on  Mobby - Flower .  Voranc and Kersnik team...

AGG World Cup Graz 2018

Our seniors Nina and Maja took part in Aesthetic Group Gymnastics World Cup II as volunteers for a second year in a row. Last year, Padua was great, but this time it was even better. The second stage of World Cup took part in Graz, Austria from the 13th to 15th of April. Volunteering must be our favourite hobby, since we are doing it every month :P It was a great honor to be part of such a big event and as always, we enjoyed every single part of it. We can no longer count how many events we have already attended as volunteers, although not always in large numbers. Congratulations, of course, to the organizers, that they took us in so nicely and offered us a place of volunteers.    Pictures with our favourites!
